Love God with all your heart

I have a good friend whose family tradition is to leave one Christmas ornament out all year.  The ornament reminds her and her family that the Spirit of Christmas can never be put away in a box.  The Spirit of Christmas is the love within us that needs to be shared every day.

The most beautiful way to celebrate the birth of Jesus is to do our best to be like him every day.  Jesus said “Love God with all your heart…” So how do you love God?  Start your day (before you even get out of bed) by saying “Good  morning God.”  This will also help you to remember all day that wherever you are, God is.   Before you go to sleep say “I love you God.”  This will help you sleep peacefully too.  The best thing about loving God is being loved right back!  And remember, God is in everyone and everything! 

Here are some other fun ways to love God:

• Feed a seagull.

•      Build a sandcastle.

•      Lie on your back and just look at the sky.

•      Listen to a bird’s song.

•      Watch a spider build its web.

•      Listen to the night…it sings beautiful music!

•      Take a walk on the beach.

•      Watch the stars.

•      Tell your pet you love them.

•      Tell a lizard you love them.

•      Make an angel in the sand as  you lie in the sand and move your legs and arms back and forth.

•     Smile at everyone you see for one hour.

•     Speak loving words to a tree.

•     Take a bunch of flowers from your yard to your neighbor.

So, make sure you leave one Christmas ornament out to remind you to love.  The light you are is

bright enough to light the World! 

God loves you so much, and so do I!
