Adela Peeva, piano
Adela has served Unity of Delray Beach as Director of
Music since June 2003. Originally from Bulgaria,
Ms. Peeva holds Bachelor's and Master’s degrees in Piano and Choral Conducting
from the Bulgarian Music Academy
and a Master's degree in Choral Conducting with a minor in Organ from Florida International University.
Currently, Adela is a teaching assistant in the Voice Department at the University of Miami, where she is working toward her
doctorate in accompanying and chamber music, on a full scholarship. Ms. Peeva
taught music at the American College of Sofia (Bulgaria) for six years and has performed as a pianist
and choral conductor in the United States,
Spain, Italy, Norway,
Denmark, Austria, Germany,
Greece and Bulgaria. She
was the winner of the Artslink competition for Eastern European artists in
1999. In addition, Ms. Peeva is the
author of the popular children’s music book I
Play the Piano, published in Bulgaria in 1995.
Eun Jeong Kim, flute
Accomplished
musician Eun Jeong Kim is a graduate student at the Frost School of Music, University of Miami, majoring in flute performance.
Born in South Korea, she graduated
from Sunwha Arts
High School and Chugye University
for the Arts following many performances and competitions. In recent years, her musical skills have
evolved following further solo and orchestral performances.
Among Eun
Jeong’s musical prizes and awards are first prize in the 39th National
Foundation Day competition, the Hanul Music competition, the Changwon Art
competition, the Monthly Music regional
competition, the Kyungnam Art competition, the Eumak Journal competition and the
Sixth Korean-German Brahms Association competition. She has extensive
performance experience with the Changwon Philharmonic Orchestra and has participated
in the Old-Rang_sign concert, the Chugye wind ensemble concert, the Chugye
Foundation Day concert, the Magna Cum Laude concert, and more. While carrying a heavy competiton and performance
schedule, she managed to simultaneously carry the highest grade point average
in her class at the Chugye
University for the Arts. In 2005, she began studying at the Frost
School of Music under Christine Neild–Capote. She won the concerto competition at
the school. In 2006, she was a winner of the National Flute Association
Masterclass.
