Judith Carter, Lessons in Living Director for Unity School, received her Montessori Certificate from the National Center for Montessori Education. She has been at Unity School since 1978. In 2000, she was presented with the “Deaver Award” for her dedication to creating a culture of peace in education. She has traveled to Ireland and Ghana, Africa teaching workshops and sharing the Lessons In Living philosophy. Judith mentored four Directors from the International Pre-School in Sweden.

Judith enjoys music, theatre, reading, quiet moments, nature, yoga, butterfly gardening, cooking, aerobic exercise, and spending time with her family, four grandchildren, and friends. Her future goals relate to her work positively influencing children. She would like to continue to inspire children to believe that they are divine, miraculous beings with their own unique gifts to give this world.

One of her greatest blessings has been the privilege of being in the presence of and seeing the spiritual essence of so many children over the past 30 years. She continues to write with her friend Terri Stec, inspirations that nurture the greatness within. She has assisted Unity School in expanding the Lessons in Living Program by providing workshops and mentorship to teachers, and parents of Unity School. She also has a vision of expanding Lessons in Living/ Peace Education/Universal Law, beyond Unity School to other schools, nationally and eventually internationally.
