Logistics Coordinator

My name is Hallie and I am a high school teacher. I am married to a wonderful man, David, and we have been together for 29 years. I have one child, Dallas and he is the love of my life.

I have been blessed with a life of Unity. My mother found Unity when I was four and I have known little else. About 15 years ago I knew I needed to get to my religious roots and began my search for a Unity church. Dallas and I began to visit different Unity churches looking for the perfect fit. When we entered Unity of Delray Beach, we knew we were home. I knew there was something special about this place and I wanted to be part of it. After a few Sundays I called the office wanting to know how I could become a member. I looked for ways to serve. My first job was washing dishes in Fellowship Hall on Sunday. Then I was called to be an usher and I did that for a number of years. Then there was something in the bulletin for a logistics coordinator. I called and Brenda Rosencranz and I started working together. Soon after that I also took on the job of logistics. I have been doing this for about eight years now. My job is to open and close the church for most events here and manage the details that keep things running smoothly. I love it. When I walk into the church, I get an energy boost..

For the past few years I have been working on becoming a Licensed Unity Teacher. I have been back to Unity Village twice and fell in love with it. There was that same feeling of coming home as when I first entered Unity of Delray Beach. When I am at the village I feel the presence of all the Unity greats that spent time there. It is such a blissful feeling. My long term goal is the ministry, and the beauty of it is that I am in no hurry. I get to enjoy the journey and really soak up the knowledge and internalize it.
